Melissa: I'm very sorry that you had to say goodbye (for a little while) to your sweet little China. If possible, she's more of an angel now than when she was when she was by your side. I send my sympathy and hopes that you'll be comforted in this sad time. May God bless you. richard..;)

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dog China.  She sounds very special.  I lost my kitty Cooner last year, it was a horrible day for me.  I still miss him so much.  I bet that he greeter China as she stepped over into heaven.  They are in new young and strong bodies, free of pain and waiting to see us again.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this hard time.  Take care Deborah

I am extremely sorry for your loss.  What a touching story for such a very special little girl.  She is simply adorable.  Even though it doesn't take away your pain, have comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and is enjoying life with her new companions.  Stay strong.

I am so sorry for your loss of sweet China.  What a  beautiful girl. I cried as I read the wonderful memorial you have written for her as it reminds me so very much of my Little Bitty girl.   Please be comforted in knowing China  is happily running around and playing with all the other furbabies at Rainbow Bridge in Heaven now while she waits to be reunited with you again one day.  I got it from a very reliable source, (my own Little Bit in heaven) that God has put his angels in charge there to love them and give them anything they could ever want or need until then.  China and Little Bit are sure to become best of freinds there.

Dear Melissa,

I am so sorry for the loss of your little China doll.  She was beautiful!  I know the pain you feel right now as I too lost my "doggie soul-mate", Braveheart ,last May to cancer.  Please stop by her memorial and read my words and know that you aren't alone.

Remember, time heals all wounds, but true love transcends time.

A Friend,

Peggy

China was the a kind and gentle soul.  I remember the first time I met her.  I was told she didn't really like guys, but she took to me like I was an old friend.  I pet her and scratched her behind her ears, along her back, and behind her shoulders.

I'm happy that she got to spend time with her baby brother.  I'm sure she enjoyed that time too.  She will be missed.

[Exceprt from a book I'm writing]
Dogs have special faces and warm hearts.  Some say only "dog people" see their expressions, but I think they're always there and other people just don't notice.
They love us more than we love them.
They treat us better than we treat them.
They forgive us when we can’t spend as much time with them as we normally like to and they simply cherish every little moment, petting, rubbing, jumping, and playing, laughing and smiling in their own special ways that perhaps just us “dog people” can see.

So, in their own way, dogs make us “dog people” more special by sharing their lives with us, and showing us their warm expressions and sharing their kind hearts.

I know my dogs will be waiting for me when I cross over the rainbow bridge, with their tails wagging, tongues peeking out, and all the same love in their hearts.

We love you China, have fun playing with all your old furry friends!

Melissa, when I read your memorial to China I cried again like a baby.  My heart hurts for you.  I know how these next few days will be.  I'll be thinking of you. I'll be out of town for a few days, but if you ever just want to reminisce you can E-mail.  There is nothing like a Shih tzu for love and vulnerability.  You're in our thoughts.

Melissa and Jon,

I'm sorry for your loss.  I know you did the right thing for China, as I witnessed her condition when I visited CO.  She was a great dog, and I'll miss snuggling with her.
